‘Caught Stealing’

Set in 1990s New York City, this dark, violent crime comedy follows an ex-baseball player (Austin Butler) who becomes the target of three criminal gangs after helping a questionable friend (Matt Smith). The film features Zoe Kravitz, Regina King, Bad Bunny, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Carol Kane. ‘The Roses’

This remake of the 1989 dark comedy “The War of the Roses” stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman as a seemingly perfect couple whose marriage spirals into chaos. Kate McKinnon, Andy Samberg, and Allison Janney also appear. The film is available at several venues, including ACX Cinema/Bayshore, AMC Mayfair Mall, and Marcus Theatres.

‘The Toxic Avenger’

A reboot of the cult classic, this horror comedy features Peter Dinklage as a janitor turned superhero after being exposed to toxic goo. Jacob Tremblay and Taylour Paige co-star. It can be seen at AMC Mayfair Mall and select Marcus Theatres locations.

‘Run’

A young woman leaves her fiancé at the altar and joins friends for a cabin getaway, only to face an alien invasion. The film stars Annie Ngosi Ilonzeh, Marques Houston, and Erica Mena. It is currently showing at AMC Mayfair Mall and certain Marcus Theatres.

‘The Outsiders’ Q&A

Join a screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 classic “The Outsiders” at Turner Hall Ballroom on August 29. C. Thomas Howell and Darren Dalton will participate in a post-movie Q&A. Tickets are available through the Pabst Theater Group website.

‘Sign o’ the Times’ in IMAX

Prince’s iconic 1987 concert film returns to IMAX theaters, including AMC Mayfair Mall. Showtimes are scheduled for August 28, 29, 30, and 31. Tickets are priced at $16.99.

‘Jaws’ 50th Anniversary Screenings

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the groundbreaking film “Jaws” with screenings starting August 29. The movie will be shown at multiple locations, including AMC Mayfair Mall and various Marcus Theatres.
