The Seattle Seahawksstarted the 2025 season with a devastating defeat against theSan Francisco 49ers, but since then, they have secured three consecutive victories.

In Week 4 versus theArizona Cardinals, the Seahawks earned their first divisional victory of the season, advancing to a 3-1 record. The Seahawks appear to be a genuine contender for the NFC West title, scoring at least 20 points in each of their three wins.

Confronted by an Arizona defense that had only allowed 17 points per game, quarterback Sam Darnold and the Seahawks’ offense recorded 384 total yards. The Seattle defense caused two early interceptions on Kyler Murray, helping them establish an early lead that the Cardinals were unable to surmount.

The Cardinals staged a dramatic fourth-quarter rally with two last-minute touchdowns, including a touchdown pass from Kyler Murray to Marvin Harrison Jr. and another passing score to Emari Demercado. Nevertheless, a key completion by Darnold to Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the final moments set up a 52-yard game-winning field goal by Jason Myers. The pair had remained relatively inactive throughout the match, but they connected four times for 79 yards — including two passes exceeding 20 yards in the fourth quarter — as the clock expired.

Both squads came into the night with a 2-1 win-loss record, and Seattle emerged victorious, securing its third consecutive win. Arizona falls to 2-2 after suffering its second straight loss on a last-second field goal.

Conclusion of the fourth quarter: Seahawks 23, Cardinals 20

11:17 p.m.: Seattle has entered Arizona and will depart with a 3-1 record.

Following the Darnold to Smith-Njigba long pass, the Seahawks opt to carry the ball to advance it further. Subsequently, they bring in Jason Meyers for a 52-yard field goal that seals the victory.

The Cardinals suffer another last-second field goal loss for the second consecutive week. This marks Darnold’s seventh game-winning drive over the last two seasons.

11:13 p.m.: Darnold and Smith-Njigba failed to connect for three-and-a-half quarters, but have since been performing exceptionally well.

This time, Darnold throws to Smith-Njigba on a comparable route to the Harrison Jr. fade that occurred during the previous Cardinals drive. This reception gained 22 yards, and the Seahawks are now at the Arizona 38-yard line.

11:10 p.m.: On the next kickoff, Ryland fails to reach the designated area, and Seattle will begin their possession from their own 40-yard line with 28 seconds remaining.

Seahawks 20, Cardinals 20

11:09 p.m. TOUCHDOWN: Arizona has come back from a 14-point disadvantage in the final quarter to equal the score.

Murray tackles Emari Demercado just as he crosses the line of scrimmage, and the running back manages to score a seven-yard touchdown. The game is tied at 20 with under a minute left on the clock.

Murray has accumulated 200 yards, scored two touchdowns, and thrown two interceptions during the game.

11:08 p.m.: The Cardinals once more encountered a third down during the drive, and it’s Harrison Jr. who makes a significant impact.

Murray throws him a slot fade, and the Cardinals are within the 10-yard line.

11:05 p.m.: Immediately after the snap, Murray throws a left-side screen pass to Dortch, who advances it 15 yards to the Seattle 30-yard line.

11:01 p.m.: The Cardinals were dealing with a 4th and 4 situation, and Murray launched a quick out-route pass to Wilson, who spotted the ball too late and only managed to raise his right hand to attempt the catch.

Wilson’s agile catch keeps the drive going. On the next second down, Murray is tackled for the third time this evening. Arizona will have a 3rd and long situation after the two-minute warning.

10:56 p.m.: Following the extended drive, the Seahawks attempt to run the ball three times in a row but manage to gain very little ground. Meyers steps up for a field goal try, aiming to increase the lead to 10 points, but he kicks it well to the right.

Meyers is 2-of-3 on the day and Arizona regains possession down a touchdown.

10:52 p.m.: On the 3rd and 6, the Seahawks were set for a three-and-out, but Darnold connected with Smith-Njigba along the right sideline for a 36-yard gain, the longest of the game.

Seattle continues the drive, advancing into the 40-yard line with less than five minutes left on the clock.

Seahawks 20, Cardinals 13

10:47 p.m. TOUCHDOWN: The Cardinals’ first touchdown of the evening is scored by none other than Marvin Harrison Jr.

The second-year wide receiver ascends past Witherspoon to grab the ball in the back-left corner of the end zone for a 16-yard touchdown. Harison Jr. appeared relieved following the play as he celebrated. He had previously dropped the ball, which resulted in an interception.

Arizona has reduced the deficit to seven.

10:45 p.m.: Arizona is positioned inside the 10-yard line following a second pass interference penalty on Woolen. Murray was aiming for Xavier Weaver during the play, and the Cardinals now have a 1st and goal from the nine-yard line.

10:43 p.m.: In need of points, Arizona has advanced into midfield.

Murray shatters the quarterback tackle and manages to move all the way to the Seattle 41, gaining 29 yards, which becomes the Cardinals’ longest play of the game.

Seahawks 20, Cardinals 6

10:38 p.m. FIELD GOAL: Following the Walker run, Seattle is unable to score a touchdown. A holding penalty nullifies a Charbonnet touchdown, and then Seattle gains no yards on two plays.

A Meyers field goal increases the lead, but Seattle is unable to make it a three-possession game.

10:33 p.m.: Walker is experiencing a successful day, this time escaping with a 20-yard run to move Seattle into the red zone.

The third-year running back has 14 rushing attempts for 74 yards.

10:32 p.m.: The Darnold-Smith Njigba link is gaining momentum, this time targeting the middle of the field for 11 yards.

Conclusion of the third quarter: Seahawks leading with 17 points, Cardinals at 6.

10:25 p.m.: Darnold and Smith-Njigba connect for their first pass of the game, as Darnold throws a 10-yard out route to the receiver.

Seahawks 17, Cardinals 6

10:20 p.m.: The Arizona offense found itself in another 3rd and long scenario, but Murray’s pass to Dortch fell incomplete. Ryland then stepped up for his second field goal of the game, this time from 57 yards out.

The Cardinals are 3-11 on third down and have just 138 total yards.

10:18 p.m.: Murray and Harrison Jr. were in urgent need of a significant play, and they achieved it. The quarterback throws to Harrison Jr. for his second catch of the game, a back-shoulder fade that gains 16 yards, moving the ball to the Seattle 32.

The following play, however, Murray is tackled by Josh Jobe for a seven-yard loss.

10:14 p.m.: Stuck deep within their own area, the Seahawks manage just one yard before needing to kick the ball back to Arizona.

Smith-Njigba receives another touch, but not a catch. Arizona will begin from the 35-yard line.

10:09 p.m: The Cardinals are facing a 3rd and 14, and once more, Murray is compelled to discard the ball.

The Cardinals’ offense, which managed just 115 yards for the day, was met with boos from the crowd.

10:06 p.m.: Looking for yardage, Murray launches a long pass to the left side, aiming for Wilson. The receiver is tackled by Tariq Woolen, resulting in a pass interference penalty.

Arizona is across midfield.

Seahawks 17, Cardinals 3

10:01 p.m. FIELD GOAL: Seattle can get inside the Arizona 40-yard line, but the offense comes to a halt following a first down sack.

Jason Meyers kicks a 44-yard field goal, marking his longest of the game. Smith-Njigba, despite making contact on the kick, has not yet recorded a reception in the match.

9:55 p.m.: Following Darnold’s fumble resulting in a loss on the opening play, a Jaxson-Smith Njigba end-around brings Seattle near the first-down marker.

Darnold throws to Barner on a play-action pass to maintain the drive on third down.

9:53 p.m.: Arizona has started and the second half is now in progress.

Seattle starts with the ball first, aiming to extend an 11-point advantage.

9:45 p.m.: During the break, Seattle is outperforming on all aspects of the game. Two touchdowns, one from a run and one from a pass, have the Seahawks in a strong position with a 14-3 advantage.

The Seattle Seahawks’ defense has posed significant challenges for Kyler Murray. He has completed 14 of 23 passes for 83 yards and thrown two interceptions.

Halftime: Seahawks lead 14 to 3, Cardinals

9:38 p.m.: The Cardinals had a 3rd and 10 situation within their own area, but Murray threw a screen pass to Dortch, who gained 12 yards to sustain the drive.

The following play sees Murray tackled by Leonard Williams, resulting in Seattle’s second sack of the game. Arizona executes a couple more plays before the first half concludes, with the Seahawks entering the halftime break with a two-touchdown advantage.

Seahawks 14, Cardinals 3

9:28 p.m. TOUCHDOWN: Darnold moves to the left and throws the ball to Arroyo in the end zone, but the tight end is tackled by Cardinals safety Budda Baker, who receives a pass interference penalty, advancing the ball to the one-yard line.

On the next third down, Charbonnet receives the snap and pushes forward for a one-yard touchdown. The Seahawks establish a two-touchdown advantage just before halftime.

9:23 p.m.: On the opening play of the Seattle offensive series, Darnold moves to his right and launches a pass toward Elijah Arroyo; the young tight end secures a 32-yard catch.

9:20 p.m.: The Cardinals’ offense has struggled from the start.

Murray completes two passes for a total of four yards before Michael Carter is stopped by the Seattle defense on 3rd and 2. The Cardinals are forced to kick a punt for the third time.

9:16 p.m.: Campbell has his second major moment of the game.

On a third and 18, Darnold throws a screen pass to Charbonnet, but the experienced defensive end tackles him right away. Seattle is 1-of-4 on third down.

9:13 p.m.: Darnold nearly connects with Horton for a long touchdown on the first play of Seattle’s possession, but the receiver fails to secure the catch. On the following play, the quarterback reacts quickly, throwing a pass to Jake Bobo in the middle of the field for a first down.

9:09 p.m.: The Cardinals moved the ball into the red zone, and Murray successfully connects with Harrison Jr. on an in-route on the right side of the field. However, the receiver struggles to secure the catch, and the ball is intercepted by Seattle’s Ernest Jones IV, who returns it for 29 yards.

It’s the second week in which Harrison Jr. experiences a critical drop, and this instance leads to a turnover. Murray records two interceptions in the first half.

9:06 p.m.: On a third and seven, Murray throws to McBride on the right side of the field to maintain the drive. McBride advances seven yards after making the reception.

It’s Barner’s second touchdown this season and Darnold’s fifth passing score.

8:45 p.m.: For the first time during the evening, Darnold connects with Cooper Kupp. On third down, Darnold throws to Kupp on a fast curl route, helping Seattle advance the ball into the red zone.
