During an emotional speech athis memorial in Arizona, Charlie Kirk’s wife stated that she has forgiven the individual charged with his murder, and that the conservative activist wished to “help young men similar to the one who took his life.”

Sometimes choking up and wiping her eyes with a handkerchief, Erika Kirk remembered arriving at a Utah hospital on the day her husband died to do the “unthinkable” and “look directly at my husband’s murdered body.” She was deeply upset and felt “a level of heartache that I didn’t even know existed.”

The tribute, hosted by Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA group, took place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. Attendees arrived early in the morning to participate in the event and hear conservative figures and his family honor the 31-year-old who was killed while giving a speech at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
Supporters commended Charlie Kirk, aclose companion of the Trump administration, for his spiritual beliefs and promised to carry on his heritage.
Even in death, I could still see the man I love
Erika Kirk shared the details of her husband’s last moments, stating his death was “very quick” and that he experienced “no fear, no pain.”

Erika Kirk mentioned she noticed the “faintest smile” on her husband’s lips. “It showed me a significant kindness from God in this tragedy,” she said, relieved that he didn’t endure suffering, while dressed in a white jacket and a diamond cross.
She mentioned that her husband used to write her love notes every Saturday, referring to it as “our little secret” to maintain their marriage. He would conclude the notes with, “How can I better serve you as a husband?” said Erika Kirk.
Erika Kirk stated, ‘My marriage to Charlie was the greatest thing that ever occurred in my life, and I believe it was equally the best thing for him.’ ‘He wished for everyone to feel that happiness.’
She mentioned that her husband was deeply committed to assisting young men who feel aimless and lack a sense of purpose.
“My husband, truly, he wanted to rescue young men, just like the one who took his life,” Kirk said.
Second lady Usha Vance shares with Erika Kirk precisely what she needed to hear
One day following Charlie Kirk’s death, his remains were transported back to Arizona from Utah via Air Force Two, following the Vice President.JD Vanceand his wife, Usha, met with the Kirk family in Salt Lake City. Charlie Kirk had been a companion and strong political associate of the vice president.
During her speech honoring the deceased, Erika Kirk shared her discussion with second lady Usha Vance while they were on Air Force Two. She mentioned she took Usha Vance’s hand and said, “Honestly, I don’t know how I’ll make it through this.”
Erika Kirk mentioned that Usha Vance had offered her reassurance, comparing the situation to the final 15 minutes of a flight with one’s children.
Everything is chaotic. The children aren’t behaving. Toys are being thrown around, and everyone is yelling. And you find yourself thinking, ‘I can’t wait for this flight to be over.’ And it’s only 15 minutes until landing,” Erika Kirk said. “She told me, ‘You’ll make it through these 15 minutes and the next 15 minutes that follow.’ Usha, I don’t think you realized it at the time, but those words were exactly what I needed to hear.

Erika Kirk mentioned during the memorial ceremony that her husband passed away with “uncompleted tasks, but not with unresolved matters.” She urged men to emulate her husband, stating: “Take up Charlie’s challenge and adopt genuine masculinity.”
Please be someone worthy of being followed,” she said. “Your wife is not your servant. Your wife is not your employee. Your wife is not your slave. She is your companion. You are not opponents. You are one body, working together for the honor of God.
Shortly after Charlie Kirk was tragically killed, Erika Kirkpromised in a speechthat she would carry on her husband’s legacy. She stated during her first public event sinceher husband was killedthat “the lamentations of this grieving woman will resonate globally like a rallying call.”
“The perpetrators responsible for my husband’s murder are unaware of the actions they have taken,” she stated in her speech, which was uploaded to Turning Point USA’s YouTube channel.
