Steve Burton (Jason, GH; ex-Dylan, Y&R)
If you’re familiar with General Hospital, you know Robert Scorpio. @tristanrogers73 The man. The legend. The original. I’m genuinely grateful that I had the opportunity to work with Tristan on his final day at work. Not only that, but I got to spend genuine time with him… making sure he was looked after. You could tell he was going through it, yet the strength he displayed in being there… it said a lot. Most people in that situation might have said, ‘Stay home, take care of yourself.’ But for Tristan, @generalhospital was his home. And there was no place he’d rather be. Even though he wasn’t feeling well, he still joked around, giving us a piece of who he was. That’s the mark of a true legend. Tristan, thank you for everything you did. You paved the way for guys like me. Rest easy, my friend. Your light and laughter will continue. 🙏🏻❤️

Heartbroken to learn of the death of Tristan Rogers. OnThe Bay, I was fortunate to act alongside him—and what a blessing that was. Tristan brought so much charm, humor, and complexity to each scene, and it was a privilege to share the screen with him. Sending love and sympathy to his family, friends, and all the fans who cherished him. He will be profoundly missed.
Genie Francis(Laura Collins, GH; former Genevieve Atkinson, Y&R)
My heart feels burdened. Farewell, my amazing friend. My deepest sympathies go out to his wife Teresa and their children. Tristan Rogers was an extraordinary light, both as an actor and as a person. I was truly fortunate to have known him.“
Kathleen Gati (Liesl Obrecht, GH)
There are truly no words, but I’ll give it a shot. I enjoyed working with Tristan, doing@GeneralHospitalEvents with him, having him as a supportive friend. Deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and fans. He will truly be missed but never forgotten.#GH Godspeed @tristanrogers💔”
Daniel Goddard(previous Cane, Y&R Professor Dalton, GH)
I wish I could have one more scene with you, my friend. Tris walked into my life on the first day of rehearsals. With short hair and steel blue eyes, I thought, ‘Wow, I’m working with Steve McQueen!’ From the very beginning, he called me ‘kid’ or ‘Finny’ and he made me laugh. He was an effortless actor, living on screen, and he taught me a lot. He was serious about his work, but always a rebel. He was his own person, navigating the system, and he protected me, Kimberly, his character, and his friends. God, he was amazing. Funny, kind, serious. I’m heartbroken for his incredible wife Teresa, and his children Sara Jane and Cale. His family brought him so much happiness, and he loved talking about them. I love you, Trissy.
Mai Tai’s by the beach Scorpio… 🏝️ 🕊️”

I am aware that the sorrow I experience upon hearing this news is felt by many of you. #TristanRogers was one of the most amazing, humorous individuals I have ever encountered. Every time we were together, which wasn’t nearly often enough, we always made an effort to make each other laugh. I wish I had more opportunities for that. Rest in peace. #FlightOfAngels #Scorpio @generalhospitalabc #GH

“Always try to meet your heroes… if you’re fortunate enough. The tales of my childhood fan letters to Tristan are genuine and widely recognized, and he always responded to them with a large Australian-sized dose of skepticism (even when those letters were taped to the door of my dressing room).
It was a privilege and a genuine joy to get to know him as both an artist and a friend. The Monte Carlo episodes we filmed together will always be among my most cherished memories. My deepest condolences go to his lovely family… We already miss you dearly.. 💔 Rest in peace.

I’m deeply saddened by the news regarding Tristan. I enjoyed collaborating with him, and we both felt fortunate to have had the opportunity to work together for over 40 years.
He showed me how to feel at ease in front of the cameras and helped me discover spontaneity and enjoyment despite the challenges Robert and Holly faced.
My sympathies go out to his wife and family.

I only requested an autograph once in my life. It was from #TristanRogers. While watching #GH with my grandmother during the summer of ’81, I saw the most amazing guy wearing a gun holster and no shirt, speaking with an accent I had never heard before. My 8-year-old self grabbed the nearest item available as the credits rolled (a copy of Charlie Brown’s ‘Cyclopedia, Vol 3) and quickly wrote down his name on the inside cover to record the name of my new favorite actor: Tristan Rogers (as Robert Scorpio). For years, I would tell my friends, “My favorite actor is Tristan Rogers!” Fast forward to 2013 when I joined the show, and there I was walking through the GH halls with the man himself! One early morning at work, I brought my copy of the ‘Cyclopedia, shared the entire story above, and showed him my scribble of his name over 30 years ago. My grandmother had just passed away, and I expressed how meaningful this full-circle moment was, and that I couldn’t help but ask for his signature beneath his name. He wholeheartedly agreed it was a very cool full-circle moment and kindly signed it. A legend. An icon. My heart goes out to everyone who cared about him and his work. ❤️

I encountered Tristan 44 years ago during the Luke and Laura wedding. We were hiding in a trailer, and I was captivated by his Australian charm. Over the years, we worked together, did numerous appearances, had drinks. We always had a good time. And I will miss Tristan greatly, as will you.General Hospital fans.”

Aussies are resilient, but even the toughest have their limits. Our friend Tristan Rogers, a charming, self-deprecating, good-looking, and humorous guy from the Great Southern Land passed away today. Rest in peace and keep your spirit alive, Tristan. We all have an expiration date somewhere. Cancer is terrible. Embrace life and find peace with death. Well done, brother, well done. ❤️
Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio, GH)
“Tristan, You were quite the charming gentleman! Rest in peace, my friend. We’ll miss you. ❤️”
