From listening parties at places like Sig’s Lagoon, Pizaro’s Pizza Napoletana, and Rooftop Cinema Club Uptown to weekend-long release parties at venues such as Alamo Drafthouse LaCenterra and River Oaks Theatre, there’s something for everyone.

59th Annual Original Greek Festival

One of the most anticipated events of the fall season, the Original Greek Festival is the largest of its kind in the nation. It features homemade Greek food, traditional dancing, authentic shopping, and educational opportunities about the Greek Orthodox faith and culture. Visitors can also enjoy domestic craft beers, Fix Hellas (authentic Greek beer), and a variety of imported Greek wines by the bottle or glass. The festival runs from 5 pm, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday starting at 11 am.

Mid Main Houston presents First Thursday Block Party

Mid Main’s First Thursday Block Party returns with live music, art, food, and activations. This time, it benefits Camp For All, a nonprofit that supports children and adults with challenging illnesses, disabilities, and special needs. Performers include Sorry, Sarah, Sam Turner and the Cactus Cats, and Davey Knowles. Art activations will feature live mural painting and sculptures by Scrapdaddy. Drinks will be provided by Saint Arnold Brewing, 8th Wonder Brewery, and Condesa Gin. The event starts at 6 pm.

Cirque du Soleil: OVO

Cirque du Soleil’s OVO brings an all-new production to life, transporting audiences into a hidden ecosystem filled with movement, color, and acrobatics. The show features 100 performers from 25 countries, including 53 artists. The performance celebrates nature’s beauty through awe-inspiring acrobatic acts. Shows are scheduled at 7 pm, with additional times on Saturday (3 and 7 pm) and Sunday (1 and 5 pm).

ARTECHOUSE presents Julius Horsthuis: “Fractal Worlds” opening day

ARTECHOUSE Studio and visual artist Julius Horsthuis invite visitors to explore how mathematics shapes our perception, emotion, and imagination. Guests can experience a cinematic four-part fractal journey with 16K visuals and 31-channel Hyperreal sound in the 270-degree Immersion Gallery. There is also an infinity room where kaleidoscopic fractal formulas take visitors into other dimensions. The exhibition runs through March 1, with daily hours starting at 10 am.

Gabby’s Dollhouse Live

For families looking for a magical experience, Gabby’s Dollhouse Live offers a musical show based on the popular DreamWorks Animation series. In this new stage adaptation, Gabby uncovers a special acorn that needs the magical touch of a rainbow to grow. When CatRat causes a color catastrophe, Gabby and the Gabby Cats must find the colors again to set things right. The show starts at 6 pm.

Moody Center for the Arts presents Moody Project Wall: Guadalupe Hernandez

The Moody Center for the Arts will showcase original work from Guadalupe Hernandez at the opening reception for the Fall 2025 Moody Project Wall. The event includes remarks from the artist and a special offering of tamales and Mexican hot chocolate. Guests will learn more about the work titled Hijos de la Virgen morena and the creative contributions of Rice students who crafted papel picado elements through a series of artist-led workshops. Botanica presents The Cursed Cauldron

The Cursed Cauldron returns to Botonica, where it has found its permanent annual home.
