Kash Patel claims the FBI is looking into hand signal “codes” at the time Kirk was shot.
Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 7:50 PM , Oliver O’Connell
FBI Director Kash Patel has shared a detailed statement on the agency’s various lines of investigation concerning the death of Charlie Kirk.
One hypothesis being examined is the idea that “hand movements seen as possible ‘signals’ near Charlie during his assassination.”
Here’s what Patel composed as the tribute for Kirk began in Arizona:
As the head of the FBI, I am dedicated to making sure the inquiry into Charlie Kirk’s murder is comprehensive and detailed, following every clue to its resolution.
The complete force of the United States’ law enforcement organizations is actively pursuing the evidence that has come to light, but our work goes beyond the initial discoveries. We are investigating all aspects of this assassination.
We are thoroughly examining various hypotheses and inquiries, such as the location from which the shot was fired, the chance of having accomplices, the text message confession along with associated discussions, Discord messages, the direction of the shot and bullet damage, the method used to move the weapon, hand movements that might have served as “signals” near Charlie during his killing, and individuals who visited the suspected shooter’s home in the hours and days before September 10, 2025.
Certain details are currently available, while additional information is still being gathered to explore all potential angles. Our main objective is to finish this investigation and achieve justice. In order to maintain the integrity of the inquiry and any future legal proceedings, we are unable to disclose all the information we possess to the public at this time. We will make sure that each question is answered when the time is right.
As for specific details, including questions about the plane that is said to have turned off its transponder following departure from an airport near the location of the assassination, we will provide updates once we have confirmed information. Following discussions with the pilot and consultation with the FAA, we concluded that the transponder was not disabled. The apparent gap in flight data in remote areas was due to incomplete information.
The entire FBI is grieving the passing of Charlie Kirk. We will not cease until justice is achieved, and our probe into this murder will persist until all queries are resolved.

Erika Kirk claims that Charlie’s death was “God’s plan”
Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 7:30 PM , Oliver O’Connell
Erika Kirk, the wife of Charlie Kirk, provided an interview toThe New York TimesEight days following the death of the 31-year-old leader of the youth activist organization Turning Point USA, a well-known conservative figure, who was killed during a discussion with students at Utah Valley University.

A 36-year-old woman remembered her husband’s enthusiasm the night before he passed away, as he was about to begin a college campus tour that he considered an “Olympic event.”
She mentioned that, because of many death threats, she and a friend had advised Kirk to wear a bulletproof vest or speak from behind bulletproof glass, but he refused, relying on his security team.
Erika mentioned that she didn’t accompany him on the initial part of his tour since her mother was receiving medical care, and she intended to meet him in Colorado for the upcoming event.
It was in her mother’s hospital room when she got the call telling her that her husband had been shot. Erika quickly flew to Utah from their home in the Phoenix area. She was on the plane when she heard the news that he had passed away.
When she saw her husband’s body, Erika remarked that he had a “Mona Lisa-style half-smile,” believing it meant he had “died peacefully” and was “saved” by Jesus.
Two days following the murder, she gave an emotional live-streamed address, promising to keep her husband’s name from ever being erased.
She recounted their marriage to theTimesinspired by the fifth chapter of the Book of Ephesians in the Bible, where the wife submits to the husband who safeguards and values her.
Erika, who was once Miss Arizona, encountered Charlie at a Turning Point gathering in 2018. She mentioned that he eventually “surrounded” her with his life. Although he had a certain public image, she characterized him as a quiet person and noted that she was his “safe place” for sharing his innermost thoughts and emotions.
I made that decision. It’s challenging to describe the beauty of an Ephesians 5 marriage when you have a man who is truly worthy of following, a genuine example of a leader to admire. And I had that in Charlie.
Erika stated that she perceives her husband’s death as part of “God’s plan,” interpreting a spiritual rationale in his “martyrdom” instead of looking for conspiracies.
She told the Times She will let the government decide if the man accused of killing her husband faces the death penalty, not wanting his “blood on her record.”
I’ve had so many people ask, ‘Do you feel angry towards this man? Like, do you want the death penalty?’ To be honest, I told our lawyer, I want the government to make this decision,” Erika said. “I don’t want this man’s blood on my record. Because when I get to heaven, and Jesus says, ‘Uh, an eye for an eye? Is that how we do it?’ And that would keep me from going to heaven, from being with Charlie?
Tyler Robinson, 22, is facing charges in connection with Kirk’s death, reportedly sending messages to his partner stating he “had enough of his hatred” following the incident.
Erika is poised to take over as the chief executive of Turning Point USA, the group he founded and transformed into a major conservative entity with substantial yearly income.
President Donald Trump has reached out to her on two occasions to express sympathy and provide support, viewing Charlie “like a son.” The president has acknowledged his role in enhancing his popularity among young conservative voters, which helped bring him back to the White House.
Erika, the president, and Vice President JD Vance are scheduled to address the memorial service taking place today, along with other prominent conservative individuals.

List of speakers highlights Kirk’s influence in the conservative movement

The list of speakers at Sunday’s service, titled “Building a Legacy: Remembering Charlie Kirk,” highlights Kirk’s impact as the head of the nation’s largest conservative youth group.
Besides President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, who had a personal connection to Kirk, senior officials from the administration, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy, will be speaking to the audience. Erika, Kirk’s widow, who was recently elected as the CEO of Turning Point, is also set to deliver a speech.
In his comments, Trump intended to portray Kirk as a martyr for the conservative cause and emphasize his legacy as a significant cultural and political figure, as reported by a White House official. He was also anticipated to connect Kirk’s passing with what he refers to as left-wing extremism; the source did not specify if the president would ask supporters to stay calm or if his message would be inclusive or confrontational.
Kirk, who gained a large audience by effectively using social media, radio programs, and university visits, where he frequently encouraged doubtful students to engage in discussions with him, was recognized for encouraging young voters to support Trump in 2024.

Megachurch pastor Jack Graham was in the middle of his Sunday sermon at Prestonwood Baptist Church inPlano, Texas, this past weekend when he stopped to play an unusual sermon illustration. After urging people to react to the killing of conservativeChristian activist Charlie KirkBy seeking guidance from God, he directed the congregation to listen to an approximately one-minute audio recording that appeared to be Kirk giving a brief speech.
“Listen to what Charlie has to say about what occurred to him this week,” Graham stated.
As the video, which urged listeners to “take up your cross and return to the battle,” concluded, the audience erupted in applause. A few moments later, they stood up for a prolonged standing ovation.
But the video they heard was not, in reality,Charlie Kirkfrom beyond the grave. As Graham explained when he presented the segment, the audience was hearing a production that was entirely created by artificial intelligence: The video, which has become popular online, featured a cloned version of Kirk’s voice delivering what appeared to be anAI- generated response from a chatbot asked what Kirk would say following his own death.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT: The harmful influence of ‘black-pilling’ in the death of Charlie Kirk

Chloe Combi writes:
In the coverage of the killing of Charlie Kirk, who was shot in front of mostly college- and university-aged students on September 10 at Utah Valley University, many have quickly attributed both reason and motive to the incident.political ideologyto Tyler Robinson, who is accused of the crime. However, much of this has been off the mark – greatly failing to grasp the essence of thestrange and deeply complex online worldthat 22-year-old Robinson, and numerous young individuals similar to him, was deeply involved in.
Online subculture became a topic of global discussion in March 2025 when the Netflix popular seriesAdolescencepopularized the term “red-pilling” in mainstream discourse. Broadly speaking, red-pilling refers to becoming aware of a concealed or distressing truth, typically related to politics, society, or gender. The term is commonly employed within far-right or conspiracy-oriented groups to depict someone being “freed” from ideas such as equality, feminism, and “woke” thinking. However, what this discussion overlooked was the existence of “black-pilling,” a more ominous and bizarre counterpart to red-pilling, which poses an even greater risk—and can be found in both far-right and far-left online communities.

COMMENT: Ending Jimmy Kimmel’s show exposes the harsh reality of Trump’s view on free speech
Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 02:00 , Oliver O’Connell
Simon Walters writes:
No aspect of Donald Trump’s contradictory stance on free speech is more apparent than how theJimmy Kimmel TV showin America has been removed from the air.
Talk show host Kimmel was removed following his accusation that the “Maga group” was attempting to gain political advantage from the killing of Charlie Kirk andmocking Trump’s reactionregard it as “how a four-year-old grieves the passing of a goldfish.” You might challenge Kimmel’s sense of style, but you would anticipate a defender of free speech to come to his aid.
Trump has done the opposite and even set aside time during his state visit to Britain topost his approval about Kimmel’s suppression on his Truth Social platform.
No one has ever claimed that Trump possesses a sense of irony. However, one might hope that he took a brief moment to reflect on the contradiction of advocating for the values of free speech inhis banquet speech at Windsor Castleand soon after celebrating the downfall of someone for utilizing that so-called treasured freedom.
