Asakura maintains a traditional stance. Elliott transitions between orthodox and southpaw positions, initially. He fakes a spinning back kick, followed by a quick front kick.

Asakura examines Elliott’s chin during the early moments. He retreats to counter an automatic single-leg move, then delivers a right punch.
Occasionally, Elliott is moving in, risking being caught with one of Asakura’s trademark knees. A powerful right hook from Elliott, thrown from a southpaw position.
Now a bit of a cartwheel kick from Elliott, who then blocks a high kick from Asakura and takes him down to the mat! A few elbows from side control.
Asakura delivers a sequence of blows from beneath, then rises just before the time expires. It’s probably his round.

UFC 319 live: Get to know Khamzat Chimaev, the most intimidating fighter in UFC’s history

It became instantly apparent that something had gone terribly wrong forRobert Whittaker. Alarming mistake. Fighters do not quickly tap to face cranks, but Whittaker surrendered within milliseconds of a forearm sliding across his jaw. Later,Khamzat Chimaevhe mentioned he heard a “click” the moment he used the crank. However, a “click” does not conveythe harsh truth of the harm caused.
Soon, an image spread around, depicting the bloodied cave of Whittaker’s mouth. It appeared to be a mouth; it definitely had teeth. However, they were covered in red, and three of them were in the lower row.were entirely separated from their neighbors. The teeth were folded back nearly 90 degrees, pointing toward the ceiling of the cave.
This was not an impressive display from Chimaev,it was a bone-crushing one. The Russian’s career has been marked by instability, including problems with weight, health, and travel restrictions that have prevented him from competing consistently. However, when he does step into the ring, these challenges disappear, and Chimaev transforms into a terrifying, focused predator.
